COURSE DESCRIPTION:• This is a six-hour training aimed at providing an introduction to Co-dependency and the Creation of Healthy Relationships for the counselor, nurse, or other professional
• This course directly relates to the domains of assessment, counseling,
case management, client education, and professional responsibility, with a specific substance abuse focus.

Upon completion, the learner will be able to identify:
1. The concept of co-dependency as part of the addiction process.
2. Family and relationship dynamics that are commonly seen in systems suffering from
substance use disorders.
3. The differences and commonalities in co-dependency and interdependency.
4. Co-dependency as a barrier to healthy professional interactions among the helping professions.
5. Finding and sustaining healthy relationships in private and professional settings.
